Before getting into the studio I tested out the set up and lighting of my installations using a rail and wire to hang and arrange the objects, before using simple spotlighting, coloured gels and a projector.the tricky part is getting the (low res, basic) projector and lighting to work in sync to allow enough light to photograph the objects, however I feel that the dark lighting suits the 'play' theme well, representing night time and going out, whereas the 'work' set up will be much more lighter and purer, with minimal or no projection.
